I don’t know why I keep buying groceries at Super Wal-Mart; it never actually saves a trip. Oh, sure, I was able to buy several large bags of birdseed, a small shiny trashcan for the living room, and a lamp to replace the one that broke in half in the dining room. Though as usual, I was unsurprised to discover this Super Wal-mart didn’t carry such ordinary items as 32 gallon garbage cans or tall red kitchen trash cans to match the rest of the red kitchen stuff.
I still have to go to a real grocery store tomorrow to buy my “regular” groceries after I stop at Lowes to buy a 32 gallon garbage can. Super Wal-Mart seems to be rather lacking in things like all-natural organic peanut butter, soy cheeses, soy “meats”, or most vegetarian/vegan options.
I always seem to leave more annoyed than happy. I seem to recall that “back in the day”, Wal-Mart was where you went to get everything you needed, a one-stop-fits-all kind of place, but now it seems like they pick one or two choices for each selection — for instance if you were to take Wal-Mart’s word for it, people only eat peperoni pizza and possibly the occassional supreme pizza and apparently all everyone needs is a 45 gallon garbage can, and who really needs fresh produce?
Ug, I’m so frustrated. But, what’s so annoying is that there isn’t anywhere else locally that I could have found that shiny trashcan or that lamp and quite frankly Lowes is just as iffy on the garbage cans. The grocery store with the vegetarian-friendly groceries is 20-30 miles away as opposed to the Super Wal-Mart with is only 10 miles away.
If I could reasonably buy everything online, I would.

I shop at W-M because things like canned goods, dried beans, etc. are so much cheaper than other stores. I gripe every time I go, but I keep going back….
